And now the even harder bit. There’s supposed to be a hidden connection between the four pubs, whether the actual pubs themselves or just something to do with the names. It’s not going to be easy, I suppose, but I’m guessing it’s the key to opening up this case. We know that the gathering pub for the crawl was the Lamb and Flag, apparently Gideon’s favourite. Normally the gathering pub has nothing to do with the connection between the four, but from the way that Morse seems to have focussed in on it, I reckon it might be something to do with the theme.
Even if we can work out the connection, I’m still not sure how we find the answers to the case though.
